Meet The Founders

Justin Paul: Founder

Born in El Paso TX in the early 90s the indoor “gamer” lifestyle wasn’t a thing for me so my entire childhood was spent outdoors. Started off young sneaking into wrecking yards to be chased out by guard dogs, or all day at the local skatepark; the “Go fast think last” mentality has always been deep rooted with me. So much so I stuck a toe in the party life at 17 and got sucked in like a riptide. Almost 10 years of absolute punishment to my body both psychically and mentally before I decided something had to change. But that change didn’t come easy, trying numerous different methods and routines to no avail, I began letting other priorities take precedent over my health. Over time I refocused my psychical and mental health to the top of my to-do list and have made drastic life improvements since then, but something was still missing. That was until one morning when I got a call that changed the game, what started as a thought, quickly became the driving focus for both of us to create a lifestyle brand that lives outside the gym walls, not just another motivational fitness mantra to follow along to; but a collective family of fellow Spottrs you can count on.

Justin Wallace: Founder

Growing up I was always into something, whether it be sports or trouble. I actively played sports until my high school years, but then I got complacent. Once I graduated, I skipped right over the college scene and dove head first into the "Blue-Collar" lifestyle. With that came a lot of bad habits, such as consuming unhealthy foods and drinking excessive empty calories (resulting in gaining 60 pounds).

While spending some time out in the West Texas sun, I started fantasizing about what could have been if I had stayed active.  I finally decided it was time to make a change.  At first I was hesitant to even step foot into a gym, because let's face it.. I wasn't the body type that you saw on Instagram or any other social media outlet grinding it out in the gym. January of 2022 came around, and I knew that if I didn't just dive in head first, I would never get motivated enough to start the journey. Initially I felt uneasy.  I always saw other people in the gym spotting one another and I thought to myself, “It would be nice to know who to ask for a spot when and if I need one.”  At that moment, "Spottr Fitness" was born. I want our clothing brand to be recognized as the community that is there to give a helping hand, not only in the gym, but in life itself. Whenever you see this symbol, you know that you have someone in your corner wherever you are.
